| Kenny was born in Tampa. His father was from Portland, Oregon, his mother from Bogota, Colombia. She immigrated to this country through Ellis Island, NY. Family moved to San Francisco while his dad attended UC Berkeley. Moved to Houston and was raised there. | ||
| He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School, in Houston. Received an appointment to the USAF Academy following graduation from the USAF Academy Prep School in Colorado Springs. |

| Kenny loves radio and music (he plays guitar and piano). Graduated from Columbia School of Broadcasting. First job at KTAM Bryan/College Station, Texas. From there did mornings at KTFM San Antonio and KLOL Houston . Won Billboard Magazine Major Market Air Personality of the Year while at KLOL and relocated to Chicago - mornings at WLUP-FM. | ||
| Just prior to the sale of WLUP Chicago from Chess Records to Heftel Broadcasting, Kenny relocated to KZLA FM Los Angeles. Did middays at Greater Media's KHTZ in L.A. from 81-85. Joined Cox in '85 as production manager and air talent at KFI/KOST Los Angeles . | ||
| Kenny left KOST in '86 for KLSX morning drive. 1987-1991 worked am drive at KyXy and KJQY San Diego. Returned to KOST 91-93 for part time and fill-in. Went full time again as KRWM Seattle's morning host 93-95. 1995-96 hired by Rob Edwards (now at Westwood One) for KACD/KBCD Santa Monica/Newport Beach as morning host. Following format flip relocated back to Seattle in '96 as part timer for KRWM (now owned by Sandusky). Also worked part time and fill-in for KJR-FM Seattle. | ||
| Moved to South Florida April 1, 1997 as WFLC morning host through March 1, 2000. Proud to have worked for the best program director that ever was, Tip Landay. Selected as new afternoon drive host at WLVE, "Love 94" Miami in May of 2000. Named WLVE morning host on September 5, 2000. Named WWLV (now WRLX) voice-tracked morning host in 2000. Selected as midday host and first on-air team for WSYR, Star 94.7, Best Mix of the 80's, 90's & Today for Florida's Treasure Coast on December 30, 2002, concurrent with WLVE and WRLX. | ||
| Chosen as finalist in 2001 Achievement-in-Radio, A.I.R. Awards for Miami, Best Morning Music Show. August, 2003, selected as new morning host for KJCD, CD104.3, Denver's unique at-work radio station. He's married to an incredible woman -- has four beautiful kids. Active in church. Loves to surf, fly, run, and write. |
